Dr. Shannon L. Bone, D.C. Owner/President
Dr. Shannon Bone was born and raised in West Tennessee. Growing up he loved to play sports, hunt and fish. After suffering a severe neck injury playing football and exhausting all traditional medical options with no success, he finally found help with chiropractic. This motivated Dr. Bone to become a chiropractor himself. Dr. Bone graduated Cum Laude from Lifte University in Marietta, GA with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at age 24. The youngest ever to graduate at that time. Dr. Bone was so eager to graduate because he was inspired and passionate about helping others. That same passion exists today as he owns and operates Advanced Rehab and Medical and 45 Urgent Care here in Jackson, TN. Dr. Bone is an entrepreneur at heart and the subjects of business organization, communication, marketing and advertising are exciting to him. He loves to consult other business owners and share his knowledge as well as learn from other successful entrepreneurs.
Dr. Bone is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner and also one of only approximately 250 doctors nationwide trained in the Pettibon System. Dr. Bone is the Immediate Past President of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association. Dr. Bone is a former member of the Jackson Rotary Club and former Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Bone's mission is to help as many people humanly possible without the use of drugs and surgery.
Dr. Bone was voted by peers as Young Chiropractor of the Year in 2004 and Chiropractor of the Year in 2013 in the state of TN.
He is an avid sports fan! Especially UT Football! GO Vols! He loves to be outdoors and loves being on the water at the lake! Dr Bone says " I love to laugh and live life to the fullest! Like everyday is my last!" Dr. Bone also enjoys spending quality time with the most special person in his life, his daughter Bella and although his goals and aspirations have no limits, its the simple things in life like teaching her how to fish or play one on one in basketball that brings him the most joy!
Dr. Mark Fowler
Dr. Mark Fowler is our clinic director. He has been directing the clinic since April 2010. Dr. Fowler’s professional background began as a Doctor of Jurisprudence. He practiced law for several years and later decided to go back to school and receive his Doctor of Medicine. He has practiced as a Medical Doctor for several years and is currently an emergency room physician. Dr. Fowler has received many honors and recognition as both a lawyer and physician. He has also co authored and published many articles.
Dr. Meagan M. von Holtz, D.C.
Dr. Meagan M. von Holtz, D.C. earned her B.A. in Neuroscience from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and received her doctorate of chiropractic with Summa Cum Laude honors from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. She joined the team at Advanced Rehab and Medical in 2006. Her post-graduate training includes courses in nutrition, scoliosis, pediatrics, extremity adjusting, and chiropractic neurology. She is a member of the TN Chiropractic Association and currently heads the peripheral neuropathy program in our office. Dr. von Holtz is also the division head manager of all clinical services in the clinic. Her understanding of difficult clinical conditions and expertise in a wide range of disciplines along with her deep desire to help her fellow man make her an exceptional clinical leader and invaluable asset.
Dr. Harold Holzapfel, D.C.
Dr. Hal lived in Middle Tennessee for 18 years and during that time he graduated from MTSU with an Industrial Technology Degree. Then he transitioned from Industrial Engineer to sales work. He was a Manufacturer's Representative for 7 years. It was during this time that he wanted to work in Healthcare and Chiropractic felt like a natural fit. In 2007 he graduated from Sherman College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Following graduation he practiced in Middle Tennessee and in May 2013 came to Jackson to join Dr. Bone and the team at Advanced Rehab and Medical and has enjoyed being here ever since. Dr. Hal enjoys working with the body and helping people reach their full health potential.
Dr. Gina Heathcott, D.C.
Dr. Heathcott is native west Tennessean who for the past 11 years has served our community. She received her undergraduate training at Union University where she received her B.S. in Biology and psychology with a minor in chemistry. Post graduate studies were at Logan College of Chiropractic where she received her B.S. in Human Biology and her Doctorate of Chiropractic. She has continued her training over the years and has also become a certified medical examiner for the State of Tennessee. She also obtained her certificate in Ergonomic Industrial consulting. Other post graduate studies have included neurology, pediatrics, extremity adjusting, tactical first aid, outdoor first responder training and certified as an official rock tape doctor.Over the years she has had extensive involvement in our community from Leadership Jackson, WRAP, The Exchange Club, Special Olympics, Chamber of Commerce, Boys & Girls Club and many others. After ten years of owning her own practice, she joined the team at Advanced Rehab and Medical within the past year. Being an avid outdoors woman when she is not working she can be found traveling, hiking, kayaking and hanging out with her four legged buddies Indi and Maggie.
Sherri Bone
Sherri Bone was born and raised in Camden, Tennessee. She attended Bethel College (University) in McKenzie, Tennessee where she played basketball. She graduated from Bethel in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She now lives in Medina, Tennessee with her husband Shane and two daughters Brylee and Brea.Sherri joined Advanced Rehab and Medical in 2002 and is now the Business Manager. Her first love away from the clinic is spending time with her sweet girls and husband. She also enjoys traveling, boating, softball and UT football. Sherri loves her job and what the miracle of chiropractic treatment has done for our patients.
Charlie Carter
Charlie Carter was born and raised in Waverly, TN where she showed cows, cheered, and danced. She graduated from Houston County Christian Academy as Valedictorian of her class. She then attended MTSU and is currently in a nursing program to become an RN. She has been with Advanced Rehab and Medical for 6 months. Her caring attitude and passion for helping other make her a great fit with the team. When she is not buried under books or working she enjoys spending time with her fiance' Jordan and her dog, Ryder. She enjoys being on the lake and riding ATV's. She also loves UT football. GO VOLS!
Chrissy Newman
Chrissy Newman was born and raised in Trenton, TN. She graduated from Peabody High School in 2003 and was inducted into the FFA Hall of Fame. Chrissy also attended Trenton Technology Center and received her Administrative Assistant Certification in 2008. She has been married to Patrick Newman and they share 4 children, Ed (10), Lilly-Ann (7), Jenna (6), and Emma (1). Outside of work Chrissy enjoys fishing, hunting, photography and most of all spending time with her family. Chrissy has a passion for helping others and does a great job as the front desk reception specialist.
Sarah Stewart
Sarah Stewart was born and raised in Simi Valley California. She moved to Tennessee when she was 18. She attended school in Nasville where she received her Medical X-Ray Tech License. She has been with Advanced Rehab and Medical for 2 years where she received her Chiropractic Therapy Assistant License. Sarah brings a lot of energy and expertise to the practice. Sarah is ready to assist you and the doctor's with your health and recovery. Sarah's hobbies include spending time with her husband and son. She loves to play golf and spend time at the river with her family and friends.
Amber Taylor
Amber Taylor is from Lexington, TN. She graduated from Lexington High School in 2005 and from West Tennessee Business College in 2007 as a Medical Assistant. She joint Advanced Rehab and Medical/45 Urgent Care in February 2011. Since then she has also earned her license as a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant, Chiropractic X-Ray Tech, and Medical X-Ray Tech. Amber excels in helping the clinic run smoothly and helping the doctors with her extensive knowledge and training as a Medical Assistant. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family which includes Cliff and their 4 children.
Cassie Qualls
Cassie Qualls has been with Advanced Rehab and Medical over 3 years. She works as Assistant Office Manager and Patient Advocate. She resides in Trenton, TN with her family. She is a graduate of Peabody High School and received her diploma in Administrative Assistant from Tennessee Technology Center. Through the years Cassie has been with the office she has obtained her Chiropractic Therapy Assistant License and is a Dale Carnegie Communication Graduate. Cassie loves to see patients improve their health and has a passion for the care we deliver at Advanced Rehab and Medical. Cassie's gift is her bubbly smile and her great repore with patients and the staff.
Brooke Pearson
Brooke Pearson is the clinic's Patient Account Representative. She has been with Advanced Rehab and Medical for 2 years. Brooke's attention to detail, organization, and thorough understanding of the complex dynamics of insurance and the healthcare industry make her an ideal fit for patient account representative. Brooke is ready to assist you with your insurance and financial questions. Brooke lives in Henderson, TN with her husband, two sons, three cats, and German Shepard. When she is away from work she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and enjoying the outdoors.
